Repair Grade Nitric Oxide Sensors for Exhaust Gas Analysers

City Technology supply two nitric oxide sensors for use in exhaust gas analysers. The NX1 AutoceL is a high performance sensor developed for analysers used in vehicle inspection programmes and is approved for use in BAR97 applications. The NX3 AutoceL has been developed for use in repair, maintenance and diagnostic applications.

Nitric Oxide Sensors Nitric oxide (NO) is an important polluting gas from internal combustion engines as it is one of the major "SMOG" forming pollutants emitted. As well as contributing to the formation of "SMOG", NO is highly toxic to humans and high ambient levels in the atmosphere can lead to ill health. NO contributes to raised ozone (O3) concentrations at ground level which is one of the main causes of "SMOG". Ozone can cause or aggravate asthma and other respiratory conditions.

NX3 - Repair and Maintenance Grade Nitric Oxide Sensor

City Technology have developed the NX3 nitric oxide AutoceL as an alternative to the high performance NX1 sensor for use in less demanding repair, maintenance and diagnostic applications.

Like the NX1, the NX3 AutoceL is designed to operate in the demanding environments of engine exhaust gases. It uses high activity electrodes to ensure low drift (<5% per year) and stable performance over its 2 year lifetime and with an in-board filter to remove SO2 it has low cross sensitivity to other gases present in the exhaust.

The NX3 nitric oxide AutoceL offers an excellent value alternative to the high performance NX1 for use in non BAR97 regulated applications or markets.
